Virtual New Members Welcome Social Event with guest speaker Jenny McKee from Creating Inspiration

Our members meeting on Wednesday Oct 28 at 7:30pm will be our first Virtual New Members Welcome Social event!

Come out to learn more about the upcoming virtual events we have planned for youth in our community and for a fun evening with fellow optimists! 

This year we have an exceptional guest speaker: Jenny McKee from Creating Inspiration! Jenny will lead us on an interactive discussion and activity designed to connect us to our “Why” and inspire us to move forward as a community.  

What you need to do:

Summer Camp Cancelled for 2020

Due to the COVID pandemic, we have been unable to get funding for Summer Camp staff from the Federal government. Unfortunately, our camp depends on wage subsidies.

Watch for our return in 2021 with full program and summer employment for students.

2020 Bursaries application closes May 30th

Students living in Brooklin Area (North Ward Whitby) are invited to apply for one of two $1000 scholarships to continuing education.

Student must be entering their 1st year in fall 2020, or currently enrolled in full time study in a post-secondary or trades program.

Preference given to those who volunteer in the community of Brooklin/Whitby Proof of acceptance into either a post secondary or trades program must be provided upon being awarded the scholarship
