Youth Nominations Open until June 21, 2021
Leaders! Let us help you recognize a youth in your group for the contribution they’ve made!
For over 33 years, the Brooklin Optimists have been recognizing the positive impact youth have in our community.
Sponsors (group leaders, teachers, etc.) may nominate up to two young people who exhibit one or more of the following:
- Outstanding Leadership
- Courage in the face of adversity
- Notable involvement in school activities while maintaining good grades
- Generous support of neighbours, seniors or other youth
- Other unselfish contributions to their community
Sponsors are asked to contribute a short biography that highlights the young person’s outstanding accomplishments and future goals. Nominees will be recognized on our website and in social media. In addition, they will each receive a framed certificate and gift card.

History
Since 1957, Optimist Clubs have recognized youth for their talents in the arts, athletics, academics, and for contributions to community. The Youth Appreciation community activity provides the perfect opportunity for your Club to recognize youth and involve them in Optimist events. This is the most popular Optimist International program with more than 2,000 Clubs participating each year.
